Waking up at the same time on a daily basis is important so that your body will have a routine already. You don’t have to set your alarm at 6 in the morning, but choose a time that is comfortable for you and get up as soon as you hear it. - Set boundaries.

Working from home can be tough especially when your personal life is encroaching on your work. This is why it is important that you put boundaries so that everyone at home will know when it is time for you to work. If you have children at home, you can tell them that between the hours of 9 to 5, you shouldn’t be disturbed at work as much as possible. - Keep moving.

- Do yoga.
- Do 10 minute workouts throughout the day.
Not only will you be able to keep your mind alert and awake, you are helping your body stay fit too. This gives you more energy to complete your tasks throughout the day. - Create a work schedule.

It is always a good idea to plan your work for the day. Sort your tasks by priority. For example, you can start by prioritizing job orders that need to be done before your shift ends. Or you can even use your smartphone to create schedules for meetings or deadlines for your projects so you will be reminded of them as they draw near. - Build your home office.

Another tip to help you be more productive when you work from home is to have your own home office. You can set up your office in one corner of your bedroom, or use your spare bedroom for it. The idea here is to recreate an office setting in your home to put you in the right frame of mind. - Keep in touch with your co-workers.

Just because you are working from home it doesn’t mean that you shouldn't keep in touch with your co-workers. As a matter of fact, doing video calls with the team can also boost camaraderie between your members for a more productive output for any projects assigned to you. - Eat right.

Working from home does give you more opportunity to control what you eat. Instead of just popping your food in the microwave for a quick lunch, you should prepare your meals better. Choose foods that will not make you feel sleepy at work as this will affect your productivity levels. Foods that are high in protein as well as vegetables and fruits will help you stay alert. - Dress the part.

It is quite tempting to work in your jammies, but this is not recommended as you will feel lazy. Also, you might be caught off guard when your boss suddenly wants to do a video call meeting with the rest of the team. The best thing to do is to dress the part meaning wear office clothes so you will feel that you are in the office. - Log off on time.

Doing overtime when you work from home doesn’t mean that you are a productive person, but it means that you are not working smart. It is important that you stick with your work hours and don’t go beyond it since your family is waiting for you too. Also, once you are done with work, your focus would be more on your family so that you will have a balanced life with them.
